Crescent Bronze Powders For Screen Printing

Crescent Bronze Powders can be used for all your metallic needs. Perfect for conventional screen printers, sign painters and artists. Crescent bronze Powders are extra-fine, grain less, extra-smooth powders designed to mix with clear or transparent bases to create a variety of special screen printing metallic effects.

This product will mix into varnishes, alkyd, enamel, acrylic lacquer and plastisols. Crescent Bronze Powder has the metallic pigments you need varying from pale to richer golden tones, along with copper, aluminum, antique and designer finishes.

Premixing or "wetting" of the pigment in a solvent compatible with the ink system is recommended. This step will allow for easy dispersibility and will help to eliminate tiny agglomerates that often form when mixing metallic powders. All golds, coppers, and designer tones will mix 1 1/2 - 2 lb per 1 gallon. The aluminum will mix 3/4 lb. to 1 1/4 lb. per gallon.

Crescent Bronze pigments will vary in micron size, so when screen printing you need to select the correct screen printing mesh for the pigment size to ensure that you won't lose pigment in the screen. When mixing the powders you want to mix only what is going to be used that day. If not the powders will oxidize overnight and have a different shade then what was printed the day before.
