E-Zee Badge Film Hefty – 100 Micron Heat-Sensitive Badge Film

Create Durable, Stand-Alone Badges and Emblems with Ease

E-Zee Badge Film Hefty is a clear, 100-micron heat-sensitive film made from eco-friendly polyolefin—free from formaldehyde and 100% recyclable. Designed for stand-alone embroidery, this film allows patches and emblems to pop out cleanly, with excess material removed effortlessly using heat.

Ideal for use with specially digitized embroidery designs, it provides excellent structure and stability. When left within fill and satin stitches, the film reinforces the patch, resulting in durable, ready-to-apply badges for garments, hats, and other textiles. For large or intricate designs, using two layers of film can enhance stability and ensure accurate registration.

Key Features:

  • Material: Polyolefin (formaldehyde-free, environmentally friendly)

  • Color: Clear

  • Thickness: 100 microns

  • Roll Size: 19" wide × 109 yards

  • Adhesive Type: Heat-sensitive (non-adhesive, heat-removable)

Ideal For:

  • Stand-alone embroidered badges, patches, and emblems

  • Designs digitized specifically for use with badge films

  • Applications where firm, clean-finished patches are required

How to Use:

  1. Hoop the E-Zee Badge Film by itself—no fabric or stabilizer needed.

  2. Embroider the design directly onto the film.

  3. Tear away excess film from the outer edges of the embroidery.

  4. For internal open areas, remove loose film if possible.

  5. To eliminate remaining excess film, apply heat using a heat press or hand iron:

    • Temperature: 248°F to 284°F (120°C to 140°C)

    • Time: A few seconds (as needed)

Basic Digitizing Guidelines:

  • Avoid repeated needle penetrations in the same spot

  • Start with an outline stitch to define the shape

  • Use three layers of underlay for foundation

  • Apply a fill stitch to simulate fabric

  • Digitize embroidery on top of the "fabric" layer

  • Finish with a satin stitch border
