Vinyl-Off is a commercial-grade vinyl remover that, when combined with heat, is designed to soften both vinyl film and the adhesive underneath. It does not melt vinyl and it does not dissolve everything on contact. When vinyl is still intact and well-bonded, Vinyl-Off dramatically speeds up removal, saving hours on trailers, trucks, and signage.
Unlike aggressive chemical strippers such as methylene chloride, Vinyl-Off gives you control. It softens the bond so you can heat and peel more cleanly without harsh fumes, surface damage, or unnecessary risk.
Key Benefits
- Speeds up vinyl and adhesive removal in a single workflow
- Ideal for fleet graphics, trailers, box trucks, and signage
- Reduces scraping, adhesive smears, and tool marks
- Best used on cast vinyl that is still intact and well-bonded
Why Pros Use Vinyl-Off
Anyone who has removed baked-on vinyl knows how difficult it can be. Film splits, adhesive smears, and the process becomes slow and frustrating. Vinyl-Off provides a smarter approach. Apply it, allow it to dwell, apply heat, and peel. When conditions are right, the vinyl and adhesive release together for faster, cleaner removal with less mess.
What It Does (and Doesn’t Do)
- DOES: Soften vinyl and adhesive to reduce labor
- DOES: Work best on cast vinyl wraps
- DOES NOT: Melt vinyl or act like a paint stripper
- DOES NOT: Repair cracked, chalky, or sun-baked film, though it can help remove the residue
How to Use
- On a warm surface, apply Vinyl-Off directly to the vinyl using a brush, nap roller, or cloth.
- Allow to dwell for 1 to 2 minutes. Do not allow the product to dry.
- Apply heat using a heat gun or torch on a medium setting.
- Peel. In many cases, the vinyl and adhesive will release together.
Important: Always test on a small area before full application. Keep away from acrylics, plastics, and headlights.
