Hydro-X is Chromaline’s latest innovation in water-resistant pure photopolymer emulsions. This advanced, ready-to-use formula incorporates dual cure technology, making it compatible with both plastisol and water-based inks. As an enhanced successor to ChromaTech WR, Hydro-X delivers improved performance—especially when used with modern LED exposure systems. Now available in both blue and red options, Hydro-X sets a new standard in durability, versatility, and ease of use.
Hydro-X Water-Resistant Emulsion – Unmatched Performance for Water-Based & Discharge Printing
Hydro-X is a next-generation emulsion engineered specifically for textile screen printing. It offers superior resistance to water-based and discharge inks, as well as the cleaning solvents used with plastisol printing. Designed for performance and efficiency, Hydro-X is the premium choice for creating durable, high-quality stencils.
Exceptional Water & Solvent Resistance
Formulated to withstand the harsh demands of water-based and discharge inks, Hydro-X also endures plastisol-compatible press washes—making it ideal for long print runs and repeatable performance.
High Solids Content (46%)
Delivers minimal emulsion loss after drying and reduces consumption per screen. A 1x1 coating with the sharp edge of a scoop coater is usually all that’s needed, allowing for faster production and more screens per gallon.
Fast Exposure Time
Hydro-X cures in a fraction of the time compared to traditional dual-cure emulsions, dramatically reducing screen-making time and increasing throughput in busy shops.
LED Exposure Compatible
Engineered with advanced photopolymers, Hydro-X performs exceptionally well with modern LED exposure units. It pairs seamlessly with Quick Image LED systems for crisp, consistent results.
High Viscosity (~15,000 cps)
Provides smooth, uniform coating and minimizes dripping. Ideal for building thicker stencils quickly and efficiently.
Pre-Sensitized & Ready to Use
Hydro-X arrives ready to go straight out of the container, with an extended shelf life to minimize waste and maximize convenience.
Sharp Definition & Mesh Bridging
Achieve crisp detail and clean edges across a wide range of mesh counts and screen structures—perfect for both fine and bold artwork.
CTS & LTS Compatible
Optimized for use with computer-to-screen (CTS) and laser-to-screen (LTS) imaging systems. Fully tested with the LTS 8012 Auto Screen Making Unit for streamlined production.
