Print directly onto the products you sell
The BD-8 uses a high-definition printhead and built-in UV-LED curing to print full-color designs directly on compatible objects. Its flatbed accommodates items up to 9.4 inches wide, 7 inches long, and 4 inches high, with a maximum printable area of 8.2 × 5.8 inches. Create individual gifts, short runs of branded merchandise, or samples without transferring a printed graphic to the object first.
Print on suitable plastics, paper, leather, wood, and other materials. White ink helps graphics stand out on dark surfaces. McLogan's standard BD-8 listing describes a Primer-equipped configuration for selected glass and metal applications; confirm whether this demo unit has Primer installed and test adhesion on your intended material.

Primer, Gloss, and the optional rotary
Sixth ink channel: The BD-8 uses CMYK and White with either Primer or Gloss in the sixth position. McLogan's existing BD-8 page describes Primer. Roland also lists a Gloss configuration for new installations. Primer can help adhesion on selected materials, while Gloss can create surface effects. Confirm which ink is installed in this demo machine before relying on either capability.
Optional rotary accessory: With the compatible rotary attachment, the BD-8 can print around selected cylindrical items up to 2 inches in diameter, such as pens, jars, and small bottles. The rotary is an accessory and is included only if McLogan specifically confirms it with this unit.
Easy operation and maintenance
The BD-8 combines application-specific print modes with accessible utility controls to simplify setup for newer users. An automatic cleaning function helps maintain the printhead. Its full protective cover shields the UV printing area, and its built-in fume extractor supports operation in compact workspaces.

Design and output software
Design tools: Roland lists design software for the BD Series to help prepare artwork, shapes, text, and personalization. The software named on older McLogan listings may differ from current Roland packages.
